A day as Stefan Skarin
2010-06-29The day starts for Stefan around 07.00 am, when he gets up and checks his email before he makes himself ready for the day. At 07.30 am he is in his car, if it's Wednesday he drives towards Tullinge and Deltaco, is it a Tuesday he drives towards Uppsala, and every Friday he is Kista at Intoi's headquarter. The rest of the days he is where he is needed. While he is driving to any of the offices, he makes some phone calls. The first one to call every morning is Stefan Ström.
Every day he spends time at sales, meeting customers and partners, qualify, negotiate and coach. Every Monday he has sales-meeting and management-meeting at IAR Systems, and once a month he has a monthly meeting with Northern and Deltaco. He is also participating at the staff-meetings with IAR Systems. Many of the decisions are taken on Fridays at Intoi's headquarter in Kista.
When Stefan like this day arrives to the office in Uppsala he has planned a noon without meetings, to have time to prepare a presentation. In the end he always ends up with a meeting or something else important. Much of the work Stefan does, he does at the evenings at home in Solna.
Around 12.00 it's lunch, often business lunches with customer or someone from the subsidiaries. After lunch it's time for more meetings with customers, partners, staff etc. Between the meetings he tries to have time to check his email.
During the day it's almost always a shareholder who wants to talk with Stefan, which he thinks it's really fun. He has a hard time managing to have time and answer all the phone calls, but he tries to answer all the email he gets. Stefan appreciates the commitment the shareholders have.
Around 17.00-18.00 pm Stefan drives from the office to a meeting, any of the subsidiaries or home.
When Stefan arrives at home he is the one who make dinner, then he put his training clothes on and goes to the gym or out running. Before Stefan goes to bed he almost always watch an episode of Seinfeld with his family.
When you ask Stefan how he manage to have time for everything he must do, and everyone he have to meet, he answer: "Why would It be difficult? I love what I do!"
